ALPINE DREAM
Three friends, with backgrounds in international alpine ski racing, competitive bumps, riding, touring, and ski instruction, decided it was finally time to put aside their corporate suits and follow their dream of creating a unique proposition in the Alps.
HOSPITALITY
Influenced by a love for food and wine and having a natural inclination for hospitality, Hidden Dragon was founded to celebrate bon vivants and the art of gastronomy in a glorious alpine setting.
A HEALTHY BALANCE
Inspired by the need for balance in life, a yin to one's yang, Hidden Dragon encourages spiritual and physical health through mindfulness, exercise and wellbeing.
DESIGN
The founders' passion for architecture, art and design is evident in Hidden Dragon. Clearly a creative project nurtured with love: a stunning depository for multiple textures, materials and colours which subtly showcases their Shinto beliefs and Eurasian heritage.
YIN AND YANG
In East Asian thought, these two complementary forces or principles make up all aspects and phenomena of life.
Yin is earth, female, dark, passive, and absorbing; it is present in even numbers and in valleys and streams and is represented by the tiger, the colour orange, and a broken line.
Yang is heaven, male, light, active, and penetrating; it is present in odd numbers and mountains and is represented by the dragon, the colour azure, and an unbroken line.
Together they express the interdependence of opposites.

Lets face it, to be truly fit, lean and to get the most enjoyment from your skiing it takes a bit of hard work and preparation. Now that your legs are strong (from all your squats) and your joints are mobile (from all your flexibility), you feel powerful (from all your kettlebell swinging)… You can run!
